The girl of the couple woke up. "What? Where am I?" She looked over at her unconscious boyfriend, groaning and muttering in his sleep, his wrists nailed to a plank hung on the stone wall. As she caught this hazily in the flicker of firelight, it dawned on her the immense pain in her own. She tried to examine, but her neck was pinned back with a barbed wire substance. She let out a scream that alerted Tiberius that one of his victims for the night had awoken. Oh he loved playing with his food before devouring it. He swished over to her in a flash, his red eyes locking with hers as she was startled silent. "Life's not fair is it?" Mr. Kilmore's claws flashed out as he grazed them over her cheek in almost a tender fashion. "You see, I never get to experience sunlight and you..." he began carving his claw into her flesh "you'll never get to see the light of day again either, will you?" he chortled.

Blaze smirked a bit as he walked off the stage, he'd crashed a concert from hunger. The audience had thought it was a gimmick at first, he'd gone for the lead singer first draining him as the band continued the song. Then the drummer, bassist and then the lead guitarist. As the last member fell the audience finally caught on, but by then it was too late. The screams could be heard for miles outside of the stadium, but the police would arrive too late and find nothing but rivers of crimson.
Blaze walked out calmly as his black trench coat now sported an almost sickening amount of crimson streaks, it was hard to tell if it was black on red or red on black if someone had to chose. His black eyes glaring at the full moon as the blood dripped from his lips and chin, he'd fed and then savagely slaughtered the cattle like nothing he'd ever done before. The night was his once again, and with it the screams of humanity and whatever else got in his way.
My, my, what a show" a voice announced from the wire balcony above, in what seemed to be an abandoned apartment building. Tiberius Kilmore's grin could be seen glinting in the moonlight, as well as his red eyes before he hopped from his casual position to the wet pavement below. "Bravo" he said rather condescendingly, shaking his head to give more emphasis. He sized up the obvious vampire in front of him almost in distaste. "Youngling..." Tiberius chirruped and clucked his tongue meeting the other with a glare. "If you were going to bring such a ruckus tonight, the least you could have done was saved me a few.."
Blaze's black eyes burned in the moonlight night as he took note of the intruders arrogance. "And who would I be collecting that favor from then?" He asked licking his fingers of the drying blood as he approached the asshole of a vampire. "If you need help with collecting meals, then you have no business being in my way....." He didn't care for those he deemed weak and this being was no exception, actually having the audacity to expect a hand delivered meal just for showing up. He didn't care who this vampire was, Blaze didn't like him at all and would show it if there were any confusion in the matter.
"I think you missed the point" as Tiberius' spiked tail flickered out of his form and lashed across the youngling's face, landing him on the ground. "But then again, your presumptuousness probably let you overlook that. The mortal world knowing about this brings...complications to hunting grounds. I was merely pointing out that you could have at least been nice enough to leave a few in lieu of your...fuck up. Now I have to find a new spot because of this." As the demonic lilitu vampire cut his eyes down at the youngling sprawled on the pavement, he let out a hiss, "Besides, your lack of respect is quite distasteful."
He chuckled wiping the blood from his cheek as he righted himself on his feet again. "If you think this is a fuck up, wait til you see me pissed. I've leveled entire cities in one hour." He cracked his neck and shed his trench coat on the ground revealing a tattered black shirt showing scars of all shapes and depths along his arms and torso. "But you're right, i could have been nice and left a few alive to identify me....that would have been alright wouldn't it?" He smirked a bit as he eyed the tail that had whipped out before he could even catch a glint. "Such a beautiful weapon, wasted on a body like yours....one should correct that mistake." He made no attempt to hide his lack of respect, this being had come to his meal. Not the other way around, as far as Blaze saw it this being owed him a meal and now an apology.
The same tail encircled Blaze's neck as Tiberius quirked a brow, the spines on the tip digging into the flesh of the youngling as the grip of the tail tightened. "So quick to brag with that fettered tongue of yours, I might certainly feel obligated to say" as Tiberius came close enough that his red eyes were deeply staring into Blaze's, seering into him "cut your tongue free, if you'd wish." That smirk returned to his lips.
Blaze growled heating his body up and burning the tail around his neck. "I am so quick witted because there is not another vampire like myself. No one endured the hells I have..." He stared at the man and then lifted one arm raising Tiberius from the ground. "I believe there has been enough pussyfooting, my name is Blaze..." He spoke calmly despite the pain and continued heating his body as he raised the other man up higher.
"Well yes, Blaze...I do believe there has been a enough pussyfooting around" as the heat was nothing to even the sulfuric womb Tiberius was incubated in, he figured the little braggart had enough forewarning. With a whip of his tail, he sliced the throat open, and reached inside with his tail to drag the tongue outside the gash. He knew this would only be a temporary thing. Even though he was obviously a youngling, he would heal. "And as I won't have to hear your petulant crowing, I do believe I'm quite pleased enough to introduce myself as well. You may refer to me as Kilmore...well that is when you're no longer wearing that Colombian necktie when we meet again, young Blaze. But I must be off, as I've stated earlier, I must feed, and you might want to go hide for a while until that heals, you look rather ridiculous" Tiberius chortled, patting Blaze patronizingly on the cheek and was off into the mist of the night.

Just a bit more.... just a bit more... Lorelai thought, taking a few steps towards the bank. The blonde stopped abruptly, pushing her hair behind her ear as her light brown eyes took in the building. Should she go in and well... rob the place?... or not? She did need the money... well, some of it.
Then again, she could always borrow something from one of her friend's caves filled with glistening gold and jewels. ...Besides, if she just walked in there... wouldn't cameras take in everything? That wouldn't be good... she couldn't risk being found out. Yeah... caves sounded better than buildings with terrapeds and cameras..
Taking a few steps back, the mermaid turned, eyes still glued on the bank and walked forwards. A silhouette caught the corner of her eye and the female turned to see herself walking right into a man. Eyes widening, she jumped to the side. Her bare toes caught on his shoe, sending her landing rather ungracefully on the cement floor with a yelp. "Watch where you're going," she frowned, usually not this rude as she stood up once more and smoothed her white dress down.
As the sun set on the horizon, Tiberius Kilmore was on a different side of town tonight. The usual dregs down the warehouse district had begun to bore him. He wandered to the western direction of the mellowing hallucination of orange vibrating into purple and beyond to dark, chilling night sky. He scarcely noticed the blonde woman running into him until he rotated his head towards the sound of her yelp, seeing her sprawled on the ground. His shaded gaze returned to the municipal building before them before touting back sarcastically, "Oh yes, certainly, I must definitely watch where I'm going."
He could only surmise what would bring a woman to the bank after closing hours. He noted she was alone, but there was something about her beyond the human capacity. His nostrils flared a bit, but he was still at a loss as to what she was. Her temper amused him, however, as he caught that she was brushing off her dress after the tumble. He continued with his small diatribe, "Going out here alone, one never knows what sort of boogeymen one may encounter." Tiberius slipped his hands into his pockets and chortled to himself.
As the man spoke, Lorelai rolled her eyes. "You should. Normally when someone's about to bump into you, you move out of the way," the blonde shrugged as if it were elementary. His tone was starting to bother her, but she tried to keep a neutral tone. When the male started talking about boogeymen, the mermaid almost laughed. Really? Did he think she was a child?
"I don't believe in the boogeyman," she retorted and tried to stretch her toes out to relieve the pain in them. What were his shoes made out of? Steel? the girl thought, casting a pained glance at his feet. "And I'm surprised someone like you does..." Lorelai thought that if someone said 'Boogeyman', that there would actually be someone chasing you down. She hadn't quite grasped the mindset that the boogeyman could be anyone. The books she always read certainly described him as someone tall and shady with claws and pointed teeth. "I really wasn't aware those rules applied to me, blondie." Tiberius gave a half snarled grin, as the lamplight glinted off a few of his bared teeth. His nostrils flared once again, as the bruised veins in her foot seem to leak just under the skin. She was trying to cover the pangs it caused, but the throbbing just under the flesh tinged his aural senses as well as enticed the olfactory. He turned to her, and as he slid his shades down the bridge of his nose, took great pleasure in reapplying the pressure of his shoe to the same spot on her foot that had just been injured.
"I, myself, don't need to believe in boogeymen, sweetheart." The last word hissed off his tongue like the fuse on a stick of dynamite. "For I see one in the mirror every waking moment." Mr. Kilmore brought out his left hand and ran his clawed thumb over her temple and down her cheek, feeling the rise of her pulse beneath it and giving a quiet yet vicious snicker.
Lorelai was about to retort something when she felt the cold sole of the shoes press down on her bruised skin. A short, instinctive yelp escaped her lips from the pain before her hands shot up to push him away from her with an aggressive, "Stop!" He was just /asking/ for a fight, wasn't he?! Cocky terraped...
His next words - and actions - made the bile rise in the back of her throat. Sweetheart? He wished... She wasn't an ordinary terraped and if he kept this up, he'd sure as hell find that out. Fear, however, settled in her stomach like a rock and the girl jerked her head away from his clawed finger. Ok... maybe he wasn't a normal Land-walker either... Maybe she should play innocent and he'd loose his interest in her. If that failed, then she could use her siren voice.
"Just get away from me -- I'm not interested." Wasn't that what a normal human would say? Given the fact that they were a bit duller than most races and the fact that they didn't believe in the supernatural... a normal human would just assume he'd be a creep.. "I'll call the police," Lore added in a louder voice. Though.. she and the police weren't on friendly terms... and she didn't have a phone either. It wasn't her fault technology was complicated!
"Oh? Did that hurt?" His voice was as sticky sweet as the humidity rising in the air around them. "Good, I'm very /good/ with...pain." His spined tail whipped out the back of his trench coat and wrapped itself around her neck like a hungry python. The fear clenched in her throat was evident in the lilt of her voice. Tight and highly pitched compared to earlier. "And nobody asked if you were interested, sweetheart." His tongue flickered over where he had traced his thumb earlier, searing a gash in the flesh with the heat emanating from his mouth. His tail constricted around her throat.
Ignore him, she thought, continuing to walk. Just ignor- "Ngh!" Her fingers immediately went up to her neck, clawing at the spiked tail to let her go. Her body writhed for a moment before she realised that this wasn't helping. He'd only tighten it or she'd harm herself even more. Already a thin trail of blood was making its way down her neck. She took a step back, towards him to keep the tail loose. Plan, plan... she needed a plan... and quickly.
Her body winced as the heat seared her flesh. Ok.. fighting was not an option - yet. Still tugging on the barbed tail and doing her best to give her neck some room, the girl focused on mentally empowering herself. Confidence was they key for her siren voice - and well, being able to speak. Taking a few breaths, the girl tried to forget about the situation she was in and focused on the near future. A mellifluous voice, underlaced with a hypnotic power wafted from her lips to his ears, "You... really don't want to do that," she spoke, pausing only to inhale. "If others saw us, they surely would call the police... and you really don't want that, do you?" Not having come up with /what/ to say, Lore just chatted away in that ringing voice, hoping - no, being confident - that it would work on him. It had to... he was a male... and all males were supposed to listen to a siren.. right?
He was caught up in the hypnosis of her blood, swathing his tongue around the barbs in his tail, intent on feeding; yet, that voice broke the spell. It rang in his ears like mother's when she was going punish him. His encircled tail unclenched as he threw his hands over his ears.
He exclaimed sharply, "What the fuck?!" as the force of him unwrapping his tail from her throat sent her skidding once again across the asphalt. It didn't matter what words came from her mouth, it was the pitch at which they were spoken that made him whimper off into the shadows. He spoke rather loudly and shrilly from the fog he had walked off into however, his ears suffering from temporary tinnitus, "I find you again, sweetheart, I'm ripping those vocal chords out!"
The jolt of his tail uncoiling and practically shoving her away was enough to stop her from speaking. The girl fell onto the sidewalk in a clump, palms and knees skidding on the ground. From all the effects she had seen... this was certainly not one she was used to.
Her head snapped up as he spoke again, her eyes searching the darkness to see where he went. When he threatened her about her voice, the blonde put a shaky hand to her throat and leaned away. Where was he? Silence rang in her ears.. Had... he really left?
The mermaid slowly got up, eyes still looking left and right as she turned in a complete circle to make sure the man had left. Her hand then went up to the gash his tongue - or breath? - had made. She needed to get in salt water... to heal herself quicker. Questions rang in her mind: who was this man and where had he come from, as well as many others, but she felt it best to not run into him again.
He lost out on a good meal, that was for certain. It wasn't usually like him to whip his tail between his legs like that and run off. He was in a malevolent mood now: his pride was affected and most of all, he was still so damn hungry. As Tiberius slunk off into the night in search of an easier victim as he temporarily impaired, he vowed to keep his word with this one. He knew her scent. In the meantime, he needed to feed. And he could find easy pickings among the crack whores just a few blocks up the road.
Lore made her way through the alleyways, keeping close to the shadows and walls, trying to remember the way out of the city. The beach was this way, she thought with a nod, clutching the bleeding skin and gritting her teeth with every step she took. Damn gravity. If this meeting had taken place in the sea and she had been pushed, there would have been no gravity to pull her greedily down. She wouldn't have scraped anything... not to mention the battle would be in her favor..
Muttering under her breath, the girl found herself in front of a wall that was just a bit higher than her. "...Really?" she sighed and looked around for a foothold. The blonde took a few steps back before running at the wall and flinging her hands over to grab onto the top. She made it!...Now to get down...
After a few more scrapes and bruises, Lorelai sighed in relief when she felt her toes sinking into the sand. Finally!...Now to find the cove she always used. It was a nice cave, hidden in plain sight. One opening was on dry land, covered by shrubs and the other was in the sea. It was the perfect place for her to Change without getting discovered. Was it this way... or that though?
The little ones turning tricks were always such an easy catch, like shooting fish in a barrel. Their pulse was always highly evident as well, even if it did taste tainted. Right now, it didn't matter. All he had to do was tempt one (or two or more, since they seemed to travel in packs these days. He, among a few others, were the reason behind that.) by running a crisp couple of hundreds under their nose. They'd never survive to get the money, however. He didn't know which thirst was more prominent, as he ripped the throats from two of the girls with his massive fangs.
His tail had a hold of the third, her fearful and muffled whimpers could be felt in vibrations edged him on as he devoured the sanguine delights from her little friends. He slammed her against the stone wall face first, the cracking of her skull oscillated up his tail and along his spine. As he ripped the cloth of her shirt down her back, he breathed in her aura. It was dripping in terror, but as he went to fuck her daylights out, that /scent/ threw him off. The screaming urchin was in the area again, already. Perhaps he gave her too much credit for being able to stay away? He sniffed at the air, but his need was too prevalent to be ignored. His hatred drove him to plunge deeply into his victim.
Wandering around the beach, the frustrated girl kicked at the sand, trying to remember where the cove was. She hadn't been here at night so she had probably taken a few wrong turns. The sand disappeared from under her feet, being replaced by the cold sidewalk. Ok... this shouldn't be here, she thought, continuing to look around her in the dark.
Slowly her eyes adjusted to the night and she could make out a few silhouettes in front of her. The girl opened her mouth to call out to them, but something stopped her. A chill was in the air as she took a few steps towards them. Two of the forms were thrown to the ground and the third was smashed against the wall... and was having her clothes ripped off!
"Hey you!" Lore called, balling her hands into fists. "Leave her alone!" Her irises turned a deep cerulean blue from their normal light brown color and a fire hydrant near the two started rattling. Focusing on the nearest source of water, the girl moved the water in the pressurized container until the red metallic edifice burst open. With milliseconds to spare, the mermaid - standing a good distance from the spraying water - shoved her hand towards the male, willing the water to bend to her will. The blast was directed towards the male in hopes of shoving him away from the female... even if it was too late.
It was already too late for the girl, he had nearly drained her dry. At what should have been a crowning moment, after his Caligulun rampage, however, it seems to fires were being showered down so to say. Mr. Kilmore crooked his head almost 180 degrees with a severe growl. His fangs still extended, and the horrific sight of blood smeared across his face. His longing to eat subsided, he was actually far more clearer headed than his monstrous appearance would suggest. He dropped the little whore to the ground to join her little rabble and with a pouncing leap, his boots slapped down in the puddles forming around the blonde from earlier. A smile etched across his face wildly as his red eyes met hers. He wanted to let her know he had her pegged as he tutted his tongue, "I wouldn't do /that/ if I were you, bad fishie..." he let that hiss across his tongue.
"What the-" she said, seeing the man's head turn 180 degrees. The dagger like fangs reflected the light from the nearest lamp post which also allowed her to see the male's face. Oh no... Him again? Seriously?
...The sea... she had to get to the sea... He wouldn't be able to find her there! Seeing him jump up, Lorelai started backing away, taking hurried steps before turning to break out into a full sprint. Hearing the splashing of his feet in the nearest puddles, the mermaid gasped as the cold water wet her skin. No... not now... not now, she thought as her crystal necklace glowed, slowing down the Change. The skin on her legs started heating up and turning red as some parts - the ones that had gotten touched by water - began turning a deep blue color and hardening to form scales. The process was painful without having it slowed down... Even though she couldn't hold the Change back for more than a minute (at most), each second that ticked by was more excruciating than the last as her legs screamed for the Change to take place.
As he had only heard of these water sprites before, never actually witnessing them specifically, this was rather fascinating. He circled her with that haunting glare. He didn't realize he was backing her towards the opening of the sewer however, as he was far too bedazzled by the scales that began excreting from her legs. His confident swagger towards her showed no relent. "Well, fishie" he hissed again, "shall I hook you and remove those damned vocal chords like I promised? I may not be much, if I don't keep my word." He enclosed her towards the sewer grate as he kept a wild lock of his eyes to hers.
Biting her lip hard as the pain kept coming, Lore could only try to keep it in check. She kept taking a few steps back, her legs trembling. The best she could do was keep them apart as the heat emanating from them only kept her skin turning red. He was blocking her only escape: the sea. Now what? She couldn't go anywhere except backwards... and stupidly, the girl was keeping her eyes on him.
"I-If you even try to do that... I'll use my voice again... You won't get f- AH!" A high pitched scream exited her lips as the ground suddenly gave way and she found herself falling. What happened?! Why was she falling!? She wasn't on high ground! This shouldn't be happening!
The panic and adrenaline flooded through her as she landed in the dirty waters with a splash. Not being able to hold the Change back in such a state, the mermaid allowed for her tail to form - not that she could keep her legs up for much longer. Surfacing, she spluttered and choked out the dirty water, disgusted by it. Oh Poseidon! If she breathed that stuff in she'd probably die! Her arms clung to the side of the ditch where the raised platform of cement was located as she coughed out the water. She had to get out of here... the darkness felt like it was closing in on her and the vile smell had her wishing she hadn't had anything to eat for dinner.
Not that he was a fan of water, as his homestead was towered in the deserted wastelands of Hell, but if that little bitch thought she was going to get away from him, she thought dead wrong. He peered down into the grate to see her sputtering about in the sewage below. Oh the decay and rank below, almost like mother's milk to him. He called down tauntingly as he positioned to descend below, "I'm going to get you, fishie..."
Hearing his voice ringing out, Lore had half a mind to push away and dive underwater.... but that would only be her last form of defense. Her voice... he hated her voice... why not use that to her advantage? Especially in a place that echoed..
Drawing upon the confidence that it would work again, Lorelai started speaking in her siren voice, "Go away. Leave me alone and don't come back!" She didn't care if they weren't her normal requests or suggestions... she needed to keep him at bay. Maybe she could take it a step further and-
Her irises once more turned a deep blue as ice started forming around the male's hands and legs, keeping him in place on the iron ladder. He thought he could torture her? He had another thing coming.. He'd stay there and listen to her until he was sick and howling for her to let go of him. "Tell me again why you hate my voice," she taunted, confidence turning into arrogance.
That voice began ringing in his ears once more like a deadly scream. He was halfway down the ladder already as he needed to relieve his poor eardrums. He slapped his hands over his ears as he did earlier. Ice was forming on his extremities as he slipped off the ladder into the wastewater with a horrendous splash. Was this revenge really worth it, he was beginning to wonder as it felt like his ears were bleeding. He thrashed in the water, and tried to take a hold of her, but she kept slipping from his grip. Each wave coming from him sent her further away from him as he howled. The flow of the water obviously led the ocean. As much as he knew of Atlantean creatures, he would be royally fucked trying to capture her there.
"That's right," she continued in her siren voice, flicking her tail to stay above the water. "Keep listening to me... You were a fool to think that you could merely capture me. My kind controls the oceans, my kind /is/ the ocean. Our voices have lured many sailors to their deaths and can do the same to yo-" As he thrashed around, the male sent a rather vicious wave towards her. Thinking she could swim over it like the rest, Lore hadn't bothered to take a breath. The water however splashed into her mouth, the bile taste practically making her cringe as she coughed it up and spit it out. Her voice had temporarily stopped as she fought to get the nasty taste out of her mouth. Gross!
Death? Was she really spouting about death? It would have made him laugh if it wasn't all warbled through his brain. If he could just..block out that voice...he sputtered on, delivering swift kicks to the watery depths of the murky sewer. His tail swished out in desperation. He knows it made contact with her body but swiftly slipped off several times. He could smell her blood dripping freshly in the dirty ale of adam that surrounded them. He was this far, intent to finish one way or another drove him further. He began chasing her in the current now.
Wiping the murky water away from her mouth, Lore winced as she felt her tail catch onto something. Something sharp had taken hold of her, dislodging a few scales. "Stop!" she growled, swishing her tail faster to get away from him. Ok... her confidence was failing... one of the things she didn't like was the dark.. it felt like it was closing in on her.. it reminded her too much of the time when her parents died...
But she couldn't lose her courage... but maybe if she stayed silent it would work out in her favor. Driving herself onwards, Lorelai could feel that the current was picking up speed, too. Whatever was happening was happening fast... where were they going? The sound of a waterfall filled her ears and her tail stopped moving. Waterfall? That... that meant they were going to be thrown out... into the air, defenseless.. and gravity would bring them down... fast. No, no, no! Turning herself around, the mermaid did her best to swim against the current, spitting out water here and there and grunting slightly as the water pushed her forwards. "Ngh... no, no..." she groaned, flicking her tail as much as possible.
As he closed in on her in the circulating stream of water, he tried to catch her fully in his grasp. The little gloater pissed him off. He didn't pay attention to the cascading down rush ahead, his intentions were one minded. "Now to business.." he sibilanced in her ear before bearing his fangs intent on ripping out that goddamned throat of hers - where that voice came from. But the deluge at the end of the tunnel threw him off his step, flinging her into the flow of the water on into the ocean and he smacked face first into the wet sand and rock on the mossy shore.
Trying to back away from the torrent, eyes wide with fear, Lorelai hardly cared what was happening around her. When her body met his, her fingers clawed into his arms, nails digging deeply past the fabric of his shirt and into his skin as her tail trembled, churning the waters around them. They were going to die... they were going to be thrown off into Poseidon-knows-where and they'd hit the ground and die! They'd splatter everywhere! No, no, no!
His voice snapped her out of her train of thought and the girl had just enough willpower to let go of him before the water flushed them out of the sewage pipes. The feeling of weightlessness overcame her and no matter what she did, Lore found herself flying... flying and falling! Closing her eyes and finally having accepted her fate, the girl curled up in a ball, waiting for the pain... for the ground to form under her and go-
SPLASH! Her form collided into the sea, sending her into a state of shock. Sea? Bubbles? ...Well, bubbles and garbage.. Holding her breath and not letting her gills work, the mermaid swam to the surface and grabbed hold of a boulder sticking out of the water. She coughed out some of the yucky water and took a deep breath, curling her tail around her and looking around the water for the man. Then she saw him.. face down, sprawled onto the sand. Was... was he dead? Lore was surely not going over there to check.
